Ah, Halloween – the one time of year when it’s perfectly acceptable to carve terrifying faces into pumpkins, dress up like a ghoul, and indulge in sweets without an ounce of guilt. And where better to dive into the Halloween spirit than at Gower Fresh Christmas Trees? This October, prepare yourself for the Great Welsh Pumpkins Festival – a frightful extravaganza filled with pumpkins, spooks, and a dash of gory fun!
Pumpkin Picking – Free Entry for a Fang-tastic Experience
Now, if you’ve ever dreamt of wandering through a field of pumpkins like some sort of Halloween hero, this is your moment. From the 5th of October, Gower Fresh throws open the gates for a pumpkin-picking adventure like no other. Picture it: 50 acres of pumpkins in every shape, size, and orange hue you can imagine. It’s free to enter – yes, you heard me, absolutely free! You only pay for the pumpkins you pick, and with the sheer variety on offer, it’s likely you’ll be carting off a wheelbarrow or two. Oh, and this year, they’re even keeping the fun going after dark with flood-lit evening sessions. Pumpkin picking under the stars – now that’s what I call a proper night out!
Frankenstein’s Haunted Dungeon – Enter If You Dare!
From October 25th to October 31st, things take a spooky twist. Gower Fresh transforms into something a bit darker… a bit more, shall we say, terrifying. Enter Frankenstein’s Haunted Dungeon, where Frankenstein himself – that big, green, stitched-up chap – awaits you with his friends. And these aren’t your typical Halloween guests. Oh no, expect to bump into Grotbags, the Wicked Witch’s Mother and Gruesome Lurk, the farm’s very own resident zombie. It’s spine-tingling, yes, but in a fun way – the kind that’ll have you jumping one minute and laughing the next.
Zombie Pumpkin Carving – A Ghastly Good Time
Now, I’ve done my fair share of pumpkin carving over the years, but nothing quite compares to Zombie Pumpkin Carving at Gower Fresh. This isn’t just your average “let’s carve a smiley face” type of affair. Oh no – this is next-level pumpkin artistry. Armed with zombie-themed stencils, you can carve out some truly nightmarish creations – think rotting faces, skeletal hands, the works! And don’t worry, gloves are provided for those squeamish moments when you’re elbow-deep in pumpkin guts. It’s the sort of fun that leaves you feeling both creative and, let’s be honest, just a tad gory.
Spooky Paint-Along with Grotbags the Wicked Witch
Fancy yourself a bit of an artist? Or perhaps you’re more like me and can barely draw a stick figure – either way, you’ll love the Spooky Paint-Along. Guided by Grotbags the Wicked Witch herself (she’s quite the character), you’ll paint your very own Halloween masterpiece. Don’t worry if you’ve never picked up a brush before – Grotbags will guide you step by step, ensuring you leave with something suitably spooky to hang at home. And if nothing else, it’s a chance to have a laugh, let loose, and pretend you’re on one of those art shows where everything looks easy… until it isn’t!
A Spooktacular Halloween for All Ages
Halloween at Gower Fresh is about more than just pumpkins and scares – it’s about making memories. Whether you’re coming with family or friends or just fancy a solo scare-fest, there’s something for everyone. You’ll encounter spooky characters, indulge in eerie treats, and take part in activities that’ll leave you grinning like a carved jack-o’-lantern. And with over five years of Halloween fun behind them, Gower Fresh knows how to put on a show. The Halloween Gallery from previous years shows just how much fun people have had, with kids (and adults) dressed up, dancing, and enjoying the autumn festivities.

Now, before you get too excited and start practising your zombie growls, don’t forget – pre-booking is essential. These tickets go quicker than Frankenstein’s run through a lightning storm, so make sure you grab yours early. And yes, all tickets are non-refundable (those ghosts and ghouls don’t mess around), but you can change your date if necessary (subject to availability).
