With Christmas looming fast even though it is only July, we are busy adding touches of magic to the grotto. But unfortunately we have to mention a very sad loss at the farm, a lady called Maggie Douglas who has been perfecting and creating the magical grotto over the last few years has very sadly past away at the weekend.

Maggie was working here last week and even though she was struggling on with terminal cancer she was determined to finish the grotto before she passed over.  Most of it was completed and as she especially enjoyed seeing all children’s faces and their belief in the magic of Christmas we are now just putting the finishing touches in place and making a magical place in memory of her. Rest In Peace, Maggie, a true inspiration with your work, ideas and love of Christmas, a massive loss to family and friends, but I know Maggie will not want to see you all sad.

So it seems like we have a big task ahead now but I am sure with all our friends and contacts we will create something amazing again being built around ideas left and keeping memories alive.

Besides the Winter Wonderland we are converting another barn where you can take time to sit and possibly attend a wreath making workshop where you and your family can make your very own unique and festive wreath of various types and prices lol, any feedback would be gratefully received.

We miss you, dear Maggie, it will never be the same without you but you will always live in our hearts and in our memories.

RIP

So sorry for your loss. Although I didn’t know her, Maggie sounds like she was a brave, hard-working, caring and genuinely nice person. RIP Maggie x
